5. Student Conduct Policy
Student Conduct Policy for Students, Instructors and Community Members
These Community Standards form an integral part of the Mahi Institute by Nèsta Terms of Service. All students, instructors, guest lecturers and community members must follow them to keep the Institute professional, safe, practical and respectful.
1. Purpose and Scope
Mahi Institute by Nèsta is a practical training institute that connects students with instructors and industry professionals. This Policy applies to everyone who uses, accesses or contributes to our Platform, the Mahi app, live classes, WhatsApp, Telegram or other community groups, events, social media pages and any channel we operate or moderate, including private messages sent to other students or instructors about the Institute.
2. Nature of the Platform
- Educational model: The Institute publishes educational content and facilitates practical training. Only approved instructors and guest lecturers may publish, upload or present teaching content.
- Student participation: Students access content and may post questions, assignments and feedback in designated spaces, but may not publish or distribute Institute content.
- Professional orientation: Students engage for learning and business purposes and are expected to communicate accordingly. Paying for a Programme does not give anyone the right to abuse, harass or disrespect the Institute, its founders, its instructors or other students.
3. Respect and Professional Behaviour
3.1 Respect and civility. Treat everyone with courtesy. Bullying, harassment, insults, intimidation, threats, abusive language and discriminatory remarks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, disability, age are not permitted.
3.2 Truthful conduct. Information you provide, including your identity, business details and payment information, must be accurate. Do not claim to be an instructor, employee or representative of the Institute unless authorised.
3.3 Protecting the Institute’s name. Students must not make false, misleading or malicious statements about the Institute, its founders, instructors, staff, Programmes or results. Calling the Institute, its founders or its instructors a “scam”, “fraud” or similar words, whether publicly, in groups, in reviews, on social media or privately to other students, tarnishes the Institute’s image and is a serious breach of this Policy.
3.4 Confidentiality. Do not share private lessons, recipes, formulations, costing sheets, live-session recordings or community discussions outside the Platform unless the Institute has authorised you in writing.
3.5 Privacy of others. Do not post other people’s personal data, photographs or messages without their consent.
4. Intellectual Property and Content Protection
4.1 All Course Materials remain the property of the Institute or its licensors. Unauthorised reproduction, resale, screen recording, leaking or sharing is infringement and a serious breach.
4.2 You may use what you learn to make and sell your own products, but you may not teach, resell or repackage the Institute’s content as your own training or product.
5. Safety, Quality and Responsible Business Practice
5.1 Follow the hygiene, safety and good-practice instructions given in each Programme. Do not post or promote unsafe practices.
5.2 Do not market products you make using health, medical or cure claims that are false or not permitted by the regulator in your country, and do not use the Institute’s name to imply that your products are approved, tested or endorsed by the Institute.
5.3 Do not sell your products, services or affiliate links to other students in our community without written permission from the Institute.
6. Instructors and Educational Contributors
- Independent professionals. Instructors and guest lecturers contribute educational content, which the Institute publishes as part of its offerings.
- Representation. Their statements reflect their expertise and opinions, not a guarantee of any outcome.
- Accuracy and integrity. They must keep their materials accurate to the best of their knowledge and compliant with professional ethics and safety standards.
- Non-solicitation. They may not use their position to solicit students outside the Platform for unrelated services or personal gain without written authorisation from the Institute.
7. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Bullying, harassment, insults, threats or hate speech;
- Misconduct of any kind towards students, instructors, staff or founders;
- False allegations or accusations against the Institute, its founders, instructors or staff;
- Conspiring, organising or taking part in campaigns or group actions to damage the Institute’s reputation or disrupt its training;
- Defamation, disparagement or any act that tarnishes the image of the Institute or its brand, including calling it a “scam”, “fraud” or similar;
- Misuse, leaking or unauthorised publication of Course Materials;
- Sharing or selling account access;
- Spam, scams, pyramid or get-rich-quick schemes, or unlawful promotions;
- Posting sexual, violent or illegal content;
- Impersonation or fraud;
- Initiating unfounded chargebacks or payment disputes for a Programme you were given access to;
- Unlawful or fraudulent activity of any kind.
8. Reporting and Complaints
If you have a concern or complaint, raise it privately and in writing with management@mahiinstitute.com so that we can address it. Reports of conduct breaches by others are also sent to that address and are handled confidentially. Retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith is prohibited.
9. The Institute’s Right to Withdraw Access
9.1 The Institute has the right, at its sole discretion, to expel any student and withdraw access to all learning materials, the Platform, the Mahi app, live training sessions and community groups, immediately and without prior warning, where a student engages in any conduct listed in clause 7 or otherwise breaches this Policy or the Terms of Service.
9.2 Where access is withdrawn under this clause, no refund is payable , any unpaid instalments for Services already made available remain due, and the Institute reserves the right to remove posted content, report unlawful conduct to the relevant authorities and take legal action, including for defamation and breach of confidence.
9.3 For lesser breaches the Institute may, at its discretion, issue a warning, mute or restrict access before taking permanent action.
9.4 A student whose access has been withdrawn may send a written explanation to management@mahiinstitute.com. Reinstatement, if any, is at the Institute’s sole discretion.
10. Lawful Rights Preserved
Nothing in this Policy stops you from lawfully making a good-faith complaint to a regulator, consumer authority or data protection authority, bringing a claim before a competent court or tribunal where the law gives you that right, or answering truthfully when required by a court or law-enforcement authority. These are not breaches of this Policy.
11. Relation to the Terms of Service
These Standards are part of and incorporated by reference into the Mahi Institute by Nèsta Terms of Service. Failure to comply is a breach of the Agreement. Where there is a conflict, the Terms of Service prevail.
12. Amendments
The Institute may amend these Standards to reflect good practice, changes in law or updates to the Services. Revisions take effect on publication.
